March 3, 1924 - February 7, 2010
Grover Curtis Long, 85, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010. Mr. Long was a native of Waynesboro, TN. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served his country during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He went on to retire as a AEC Chief Petty Officer. He was a retired Federal Civil Service employee with NARF onboard Pensacola, NAS. Mr. Long was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Eloise Morrow Long; his brother, Robert Long; and granddaughter, Annie Collins.
Mr. Long is survived by his three daughters, Ann Mulford, of Jacksonville, FL, Peggy (Jack) Mills, of Sweet Home, OR, and Kaye (Travis) Smith, of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nadine Long, of Florence, AL.

Funeral service for Mr. Long will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel. Burial will follow in Barrancas National Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Home.
